Brazilian born, London based songwriter and artist Laélia is hitting hard with her new retro-inspired, punk-pop track; “Television,” featuring emerging producer Inu The Strange.
Lending itself to some of Laélia’s musical influences (Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Kate Bush and Gwen Stefani) the track is both fun and catchy, yet also shrouded in elements of dark mystification.
“This song is special to me. Inu The Strange had this crazy idea and I fell in love with it. We worked together from songwriting all the way to the video production and I think we managed to tell this very dark story without losing the catchy pop essence.” – Laélia
As Laélia’s powerful vocals resonate over Inu The Strange’s retro-contemporary, eclectic instrumentation, the old-school nostalgic vibes are palpable. Through 80’s inspired electro-pop mastery, “Television”’s thunderous snare claps and reverb-drenched beats and will undoubtedly get you bouncing.
