YLY has released his latest single, “Never Saw It Coming.”  Featuring chill chords and smooth pop vocals, it’s certainly a fun listen.  The track builds to a unique yet radio-friendly drop that incorporates elements of future bass, hip-hop and pop.

According to YLY, the inspiration for “Never Saw It Coming” came on a long haul flight from the United States to The United Kingdom.  Terrified, he started playing calming chords on his computer to relieve his anxiety. These chords were the beginning of “Never Saw It Coming.”

Once he arrived in the UK, he wrote and recorded the vocals with ARION HAZE, and finished the rest of the production.

“I wanted to create a song that would not only be able to get people emotionally attached but also introduce my new style.” – YLY

A trifecta of different musical styles and influences have come together on Milwaukee-based producer Crystal Knives’ latest track “STRANDED” featuring Ivish and Nathan Kay. The track tells the story of a person, such as an ex or an old friend who likes to start drama just to keep someone around, and describes what happens when finally, enough is enough.

“I like to put myself in weird, unfamiliar situations when it comes to songwriting. I loved the idea of putting myself, Ivish and Nathan together for a session because we all come from three very different worlds; Dance music, urban music and contemporary jazz. We went into the session with no idea what was going to happen and had the entire song written less than six hours later, the energy in the room was electric and I really think that vibe shines through on the finished record.” – Crystal Knives

Crystal Knives draws on his roots as a jazz musician, while masterfully fusing those abilities with his current love for electronic and urban music. Crystal Knives could not have picked a better trumpet player for this track than Nathan Kay. Currently studying Jazz trumpet at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, Kay delivered infectious grooves from start to finish. He was also recently awarded the Nation Trumpet Association’s top award for jazz performance. Ivish took care of vocal duty, laying down outstanding verses on top of Kay’s horn lines. These three artists on the rise have come together to create an absolute masterpiece. Watch this space for more from Crystal Knives and his counterparts.

Spanish producer Adrien Rux has released his new remix of CLMD’s “Trouble”.  The original track features traditional progressive house sounds, but in his remix, Adrien Rux changes things up.  He opts to include his signature rumbling, deep bass. Dark cinematic elements are front and center in Rux’s interpretation of “Trouble”, perfectly supporting the vocals.

At only twenty years of age, Adrien Rux has had an impressive career so far.  His work as a producer and remixer has been supported by renowned DJs like Steve Angelo, Tiesto, and Pete Tong.  Rux’s dark style is recognizably his, and in the coming months and years, he’ll continue to add to his already stellar name as a producer.

AJ Salvatore is here and ready to showcase his second original of the year and this time it’s a bass track that will instantly flip any crowd into a rowdy party ready to rage. From the moment you hit play, you’ll be transported to another world with dark elements and worldly instruments. As things continue and the song gets going Atarii’s vocals take over and introduce a heavy hip-hop sound that will quickly have you moving to the monstrous bass lines. Before you know it the pre-chorus will ramp the single up into a bass house tune like nothing you’ve heard. From the slamming percussion’s to the grimy and metallic synths, this larger than life record will be one that is festival ready for the upcoming season.

“I believe this track really showcases who I am as a producer, as I can have fun writing light-hearted pop tunes and then jump over to the opposite end of the spectrum with heavy bass tracks.”
-AJ Salvatore

Hailing from Long Island, New York the now Orlando-based artist AJ Salvatore has had a wild ride of a career. While holding a background in music since his youngest years, the self-taught musician has gone on to play in multiple bands and perform live on the piano, drums, guitar, bass, and everything in between. AJ’s fondness for music led him to attend and graduate from Full Sail University with a bachelor’s degree in recording arts.

He eventually decided to chase a solo career and fell in love with electronic music. The young 22-year-old has had releases with TrackRecord AI under Universal, HERØ Records under Sony, gone on to chart at #19 in the US Viral 50 and #21 in the Global Viral 50, and released official remixes for Paris & Simo, as well as Shaun Frank on Ultra Records. He quickly found himself all over every major EDM publication, being interviewed by Huffington Post and EDM.com while racking up over 27 million collective plays, and featured on radio stations around the US and globe. After performing at EDC Orlando and also opening for superstars such as Borgeous, Carnage, Ghastly, Alvin Risk, Dirty South, Shaun Frank, and SNBRN to name a few, AJ Salvatore is known for his high energy performances that can get any crowd moving.

Floret Loret recently gave listeners a glimpse into his astounding upcoming EP Tangled Roots with the release of ‘Cantuta’. Building further excitement for the project is ‘Juniper,’ which will be released on February 19th. The track is true testament to Floret Loret’s genius. It opens with a melancholy and haunting aura that possesses an underlying beauty. From there it evolves into a beastly experimental sound that’s unlike anything else. ‘Juniper’ will tug at your heart strings while transporting your mind to another dimension. It’s brain-bending bass and heart-wrenching emotions woven together for an unforgettable experience.

“’Juniper’ was a very fun track to write. I like writing melancholic melodies and creating weird textures. I also tried to imitate wooden sounds throughout the track. I found some influence in a juniper bonsai tree when writing this track – how bizarre it can look, how the stems can be all contorted, but the leaves are beautiful. It takes quite a long time to grow and taking care of it can be tedious. I found similarities to how long it takes someone to be good at a certain skill, nurturing and slowly moulding their craft. This song is to represent the everlasting growth of an artist.” – Floret Loret

Floret Loret is a Florida based producer who’s been on fire as of late. With releases on Phuture Collective, Below The Surface and Great Dane’s ADBC Records, he’s become a favourite amongst the SoundCloud community. Most recently his ‘Stay Hollow’ remix has attained support from heavyweights like Ekali & Alison Wonderland. His debut EP Tangled Roots is due out on March 12th.
