ALIGN takes us on a journey with his stunning new EP Intertwine, which brings 5 beautifully made releases Embrace, Symmetry, Follow Me, Thought Patterns and Found. The EP kicks off with something magical, Embrace truly represents what everyone should do with this release. It give us goosebumps just listening to it, it combines the sounds of an old film rolling in the background while the harmonic pads come flowing in and to top it off this gentle guitar lead just sits on top and that is the icing on the cake for me.
Symmetry definitely gives a more upbeat feel to the EP, the warm feeling of the piano chords and the essence of the vocal chops just give the track that extra burst of emotion .
Follow me kicks off with this moving chords, which almost remind me of some sort of church organ, but the main power house of this release is the siren (mythical creature) type vocals . Which just catch you and you just can’t seem stop listening.
Thought Pattern is another magical release where you a hit with a soothing arp fluttering throughout the release, accompanied but the vocal shots and the heavily side-chained chords.
Found is bringing back those tropical vibes, with the plucky style chords that just complement the whole release. The vocals bring an extra element into this release which is hands down super addicting to listen too.
Over all the EP is a stunning piece of work and we are 10000% that everyone who listens to this will fall in love with it and enjoy it a much as we did 🙂
“When we finally started to pull out of the winter and darker times, I felt like I had found the direction I needed to go. Overall, ‘Intertwine’ holds its name because the more I think about things, the more I realize they’re all connected, and well, intertwined. This EP generally represents a range of emotions that we go through as humans, and how they’re all connected to each other in one way or another. The tracks on ‘Intertwine’ are not without their flaws, and none are perfect, but neither are we — I look at these minor pieces as things to embrace.” – ALIGN

Portland-based producer, Manatee Commune continues to establish his legacy with his forthcoming single, “I Can Dream” featuring female vocalist Effee . A classically trained musician inspired by the likes of Sylvan Esso, Big Wild, Flume, and many more, Manatee Commune is a captivating producer and vibrant performer. Having toured with household names like ODESZA, Emancipator, and Blockhead, while commanding stages at Bonnaroo, What The Festival, Capitol Hill Block Party, and the upcoming 2019 Lighting In A Bottle Festival, Manatee Commune delivers an experience to dance music aficionados worldwide.
“This track came together when the first warmth of spring actually started to reveal itself. I had just moved to Portland and the whole city just exploded with cherry blossoms and daffodils, so grabbed my laptop and an acoustic guitar, laid out in the park and crafted what I thought was just a goofy little beat that I’d never use. But when Effee and I started working together, I immediately thought of that day and how wonderful her voice would sound nestled in the bright, peaceful production of this unfinished song. Just a week or so later she sent me back these lyrics that perfectly captured the carefree, sunny mid-morning essence that had originally inspired me.“ – Manatee Commune

Having released Get Low last month racking in 100k+ streams in 2 weeks, Fabian has returned with a bang. The Danish producer is known for his exceptional productions and crazy sound design, with On Fire he has shown that with the best of his ability. On Fire is a dark and groovy track, complementing different genres into one masterpiece. With merging energetic Drum & Bass breaks accompanied with vocals from Fabian himself, which builds into a bouncy trap drop. This is a track which is going to hit the clubs by storm !
“On Fire was a track I made on a late winter’s night in a basement in Copenhagen. I started making the break synths because I wanted to make a big melodic track and that’s where I ran it through a modulator by accident and all of a sudden I had this cool wobbly idea. The track pretty much builds itself up from there, I recorded the drop and vocals from there in the same night. I really wanted to make a bass driven track so I could see people bobbing their heads and bouncing” – Fabian Mazur

He then breaks it down after the second drop and introduces the true power of vocalist Joey Busse in the single.
A trifecta of different musical styles and influences have come together on Milwaukee-based producer Crystal Knives’ latest track “STRANDED” featuring Ivish and Nathan Kay. The track tells the story of a person, such as an ex or an old friend who likes to start drama just to keep someone around, and describes what happens when finally, enough is enough.
“I like to put myself in weird, unfamiliar situations when it comes to songwriting. I loved the idea of putting myself, Ivish and Nathan together for a session because we all come from three very different worlds; Dance music, urban music and contemporary jazz. We went into the session with no idea what was going to happen and had the entire song written less than six hours later, the energy in the room was electric and I really think that vibe shines through on the finished record.” – Crystal Knives
Crystal Knives draws on his roots as a jazz musician, while masterfully fusing those abilities with his current love for electronic and urban music. Crystal Knives could not have picked a better trumpet player for this track than Nathan Kay. Currently studying Jazz trumpet at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, Kay delivered infectious grooves from start to finish. He was also recently awarded the Nation Trumpet Association’s top award for jazz performance. Ivish took care of vocal duty, laying down outstanding verses on top of Kay’s horn lines. These three artists on the rise have come together to create an absolute masterpiece. Watch this space for more from Crystal Knives and his counterparts.
